Ready? Let’s start planning your dining itinerary at some of the best new restaurants in Goa.
1. Vedro
Condenast Traveller proclaimed this as the season’s ‘buzziest opening’. And a title that merits the launch. It’s not everyday, Bollywood flies down to Goa for tastings. Vedro Bar & Kitchen, launched with a star-studded affair, celebrating its eccentric entry in the sunshine state. With interiors designed by Sussanne Khan that will instantaneously transport you to a tropical state of mind and nouvelle cuisine that serves contemporary Indian fare in not-so-Indian formats; Vedro is plating nostalgia in a modern style. One of the best new restaurants in North Goa, Vedro has a sharp focus on sourcing local ingredients and using avant garde and traditional techniques to play with spices and flavours. Located in Fontainhas in Panjim, the bar and kitchen serves wicked cocktails, boasts of a unique interactive raw food bar and has a sit down as well as ‘dance around’ scene at night on the weekends. We recommend adding this place to the top of your tasting list. We loved their 70-70 Short Ribs, they’re slow cooked for 70 hours at 70 degrees and the result is the juiciest, tender, melt-in-the-mouth meat ever! Among other great finds on the menu are the Soft Boiled Egg with Curry Leaf Espuma and their Honey Butter twist on the Old Fashioned. Make sure you don’t miss out on Vedro when you’re here!.

2. Izumi
Mumbai’s favourite Japanese eatery has found its place in Assagao. Sushi, sashimi, yakitori, yakijimo and all your Japanese regulars have been casted on the restaurant’s menu. But the starring roles are played by the Hamachi Carpaccio with Truffle Ponzu and the Shisho Negroni. Izumi has a luscious indoor-outdoor setting and a fine curation of inspired cocktails from the land of the rising sun. Add Izumi to your itinerary, you just can’t miso it!

3. Saz on the Beach
Play pretend you’re in Ibiza, sipping on scintillating summer drinks, soaking in the salty beach vibe and disseminating jealousy on the gram. This is your selfie-friendly bar and eatery on the sands of Morjim. We recommend a sundowner with chilled beers and champagne to complement the view. The highlight of the spot? Undoubtedly the location and the vibe.

4. Elephant and co
From Pune to Goa, this friendly bar is here to make friends in Anjuna. Consider a combination of an all day cafe and a gastropub with a laid back vibe common to its days and nights. The place features an extensive menu of bar food like Chicken wings, Chorizo Chili, Sali Kheema Pao Sliders and all day flatbreads and sandwiches.

5. Raki
Welcome to Goa’s first mediterranean rooftop bar, Raki Modern Mezze. A sophisticated middle eastern restaurant perched on the 11th floor of The Crescent Hotel in Panaji. Raki offers gorgeous views of the seascape and authentic flavours from the mediterranean. With indoor dining and outdoor lounge seating, the buzzing new joint has a stylish vibe and menu to complement.
